FDA grants accelerated approval for Tagrisso to treat patients with advanced NSCLC

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted accelerated approval for an oral medication to treat patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Tagrisso (osimertinib) is now approved for patients whose tumors have a specific epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation (T790M) and whose disease has gotten worse after treatment with other EGFR-blocking therapy.

Genentech announces positive results from GA101 plus chlorambucil Phase III study on CLL

Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, today announced positive results from Stage 1 of CLL11, a Phase III randomized study to investigate the efficacy and safety profile of the investigational medicine obinutuzumab (GA101) plus chlorambucil chemotherapy compared with chlorambucil alone in people with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
