Toshiba to highlight cardiac ultrasound applications at ASE annual meeting

Ultrasound is often used as a first-line diagnostic exam to quickly and safely diagnose a range of patient conditions. At this year's American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) annual meeting in Montreal, June 11-14, 2011, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., will highlight cardiac and shared service ultrasound applications designed to improve cardiac ultrasound imaging.

Stentys' self-expanding and drug-eluting stents demonstrate promising results in 'OPEN-I' clinical study

Medical device pioneer Stentys announced today that the complete ‘OPEN-I' clinical study was presented by Stefan Verheye, M.D., Ph.D., at the Joint Interventional Meeting ("JIM") 2010 in Rome, demonstrating superior results in 60 patients (27 Stentys drug-eluting stents and 33 Stentys bare-metal stents) who were followed–up angiographically after six months.

Micromet to present new data from its blinatumomab Phase 1 trial at the ASH meeting

Micromet, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company developing novel, proprietary antibodies for the treatment of cancer, inflammation and autoimmune diseases, today announced the publication of a poster with new data from its ongoing phase 1 clinical trial of its product candidate blinatumomab in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) at the 51ST Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in New Orleans, Louisiana.
