AHF calls on United Nations to appoint independent third-party to investigate UNAIDS' sexual harassment scandal

In the wake of a growing sexual harassment scandal that has been roiling UNAIDS and civil society, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest AIDS organization that provides and supports HIV care to more than 889,000 patients in 39 countries globally, including Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America & the Caribbean and the United States, is calling on the United Nations to outsource and appoint an independent third-party to investigate the case, which many believe was grossly mishandled by UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé and his superiors at the UN.

Vaccination reduces risk of hospitalization from all SARS-CoV-2 variants

The findings reveal that patients infected with alpha, beta, gamma, and delta variants have a higher risk of hospitalization than those infected with the original viral strain that emerged in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019. The study is currently available on the medRxiv* preprint server while awaiting peer review.

The Greenlining Institute (www.greenlining.org) today reacted to a survey conducted by the Lombardo Consulting Group which shows that Americans are losing confidence in the health care reform process (available here.) The national poll found that an overwhelming number of poll respondents believe that "side deals" between Washington decision makers and the pharmaceutical industry have "seriously compromised efforts to enact real reform of the health care system."
