Researchers from Skoltech, U.S. companies VirIntel and Argentys Informatics, and two Russian Academy of Sciences institutes have studied the immune response to COVID-19 in patients with different levels of disease severity.
Researchers at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine have shown that a new targeted treatment could benefit patients with certain pancreatic tumors by preventing spread of the cancer and protecting their heart from damage-a direct result of the tumor.
News outlets report that the legislation would include delaying the cut in Medicare payments to physicians.
"Worldwide, evidence-based interventions are being implemented in an effort to drive down child mortality and there are some signs that they are working," a Lancet editorial states. "However, few countries are on course to meet the targets set by Millennium Development Goal 4," the editorial notes.
