A set of national standards designed to improve the quality and consistency of public involvement in research launch today at the 2018 Patients First conference - hosted jointly by the AMRC and the ABPI - and at the Involving People Network Annual Meeting 2018.
An international group of population health experts is calling for sharing of health data to be the norm if precision health agendas are to succeed and build sustainable health systems.
Post-operative cognitive dysfunction (POCD), a condition mostly observed in older patients following surgery under general anesthesia, is characterized by impaired memory and concentration. The impairment may be temporary or permanent and incapacitating.
Young girls (aged 16-8 years) may have a secret to healthy hearts according to a new study presented at ISHIB2005. Before and after participating in stress-producing activities, male and female teenagers were measured for blood pressure levels. Females showed less of an increase in systolic blood pressure (SBP) than their male counterparts.
In a recent bioRxiv preprint paper, a team of researchers shows the possibility of using copper, in a new conformation, for effectively killing microbes immediately.
