A new study challenges the current staging system that determines the extent or severity of prostate cancer that has not metastasized. Published early online in CANCER, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Cancer Society, the study found that there is no link between localized prostate cancer's clinical stage and a patient's risk of cancer recurrence after having his prostate removed.
In a recent letter, Senate Finance Committee leaders Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, demanded that an insurer that was kicked out of the Medicare Part D drug program pay its outstanding claims.
Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. ("HTA"), a self-managed, non-traded, real estate investment trust, announced the execution of a purchase and sale agreement to acquire a three building medical office portfolio located in San Angelo, Texas, Corsicana, Texas, and Fort Wayne, Indiana for approximately $20,500,000.
It's estimated that more than half of all U.S. mental health care takes place at the primary care level and that percentage jumps considerably in rural areas where there often are no mental health practitioners for hundreds of miles.
