The "perfect storm" for Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME, and fatigue in general is preparing to hit. A combination of poor nutrition, decreasing sleep, increasing stress and environmental toxins has created a human energy crisis of unprecedented proportions. Over the past 10 years, the incidence of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia (FMS) has exploded by 400 to 1000 percent, as documented in five separate studies. Strand Life Sciences, a global genomic profiling company that uses next generation sequencing technology to empower cancer care, today announced it will introduce its expanded StrandAdvantage pan-cancer genomic profiling service later this month at the 2015 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline has agreed to plead guilty to fraud charges and pay $3 billion in total - with some money going to nearly every state - for promoting its bestselling antidepressants such as Paxil and Wellbutrin for unapproved uses, failing to report safety data about a top diabetes drug and improperly marketing other drugs.
Students in Pennsylvania school districts that participated in Communities that Care coalitions were significantly less likely to use alcohol or marijuana, or to engage in delinquent behavior than those in non-CTC districts, according to a recent study published in Prevention Science.
