New research published today in the journal eLife has demonstrated a new method for observing the behaviour of the protein Dystrophin in a living animal cell, in real-time. This breakthrough may provide a key to understanding how to treat the genetic disease, Muscular Dystrophy.
Accuray Incorporated, a global leader in the field of radiosurgery, announced today that the company was awarded a $1 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant by the U.S. Government to be used toward further development of a high-energy X-ray source for Homeland Security applications.
Nuvo Research Inc., a drug development company focused on the research and development of drug products that are delivered into and through the skin using its topical and transdermal drug delivery technologies, and on the development of its immune modulating drug candidate WF10, today announced its financial and operational results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
The numbers are stark. An astounding three out of every four U.S. families include one family member diagnosed with cancer. Worldwide, 28 million people - more than 12 million people in the U.S. alone - are now living with cancer. While the survivor population continues to grow, few public resources exist to promote the exchange of education and experiential information among survivors.
