BioVex Inc, a company developing new generation biologics for the treatment of cancer and prevention of infectious disease, announces that the data from its completed Phase I/II clinical study of OncoVEXGM-CSF for the first line treatment of head and neck cancer is being published today in Clinical Cancer Research, an ASCO publication.
An alternative and harmful form of tobacco use, known as the hookah or water pipe, may be spreading among youth in the United States according to researchers from the University of California, San Diego's Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and San Diego State University. This trend is emerging even as cigarette smoking among high school students is on the decline nationally.
Roche, makers of ACCU-CHEK® blood glucose meters, infusion pumps, lancing devices and data management systems for people with diabetes, received the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International's "Chancellor's Award" during the JDRF Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
