Competing cardiac care teams in some of the nation's most populated areas will start working together to markedly reduce the time from heart attack to treatment as part of a new program designed by cardiologists at Duke University Medical Center.
Shrink Nanotechnologies, Inc. an innovative nanotechnology company developing products and licensing opportunities in the alternative energy industry, medical diagnostics and sensors and biotechnology research and development tools businesses, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to produce a high content screening tool for its biotech R&D subsidiary, Shrink Chips LLC.
Okay, I know I'm a health writer, but I really don't like going to the doctor. Part of it is an unshakeable, irrational certainty that they will find something horribly wrong with me that I'd rather not know about, and part of it is a rational certainty that they will find something mildly wrong with me that is my fault and chastise me for it-;drinking too much, not exercising enough, whatever. One should be able to talk to one's doctor about these things-;the aspects of one's lifestyle that maybe aren't so great. ... But in 2009, a study by researchers at the University of California, San Diego found that half of the patients surveyed had experienced shame as a result of something a doctor said to them.
In March 2012, the 1st Nextgen China was held successfully in Shanghai. FDA, USP, national institutes for Food and Drug Control and leading pharmaceutical companies from home and abroad were invited to give presentations.
When your baby was born you likely heard a loud cry and examined your baby to make sure he/she had a full set of adorable fingers and toes. But just imagine a few days after you arrive home, your phone rings: your baby has screened positive for a genetic disorder.
