The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) - supporting research and providing education, advocacy and support for myeloma patients, families, researchers and physicians - today said physicians should consider lowering the dose of the steroid dexamethasone when treating patients with multiple myeloma.
The Greenville (S.C.) News: "The Massachusetts Senate race for Ted Kennedy's old seat was a sign that the current health care reform bill should be scrapped, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said. .... As the U.S. Supreme Court decides in a case involving racial preferences in higher education admissions (Fisher v. Texas), new University of Maryland-led research finds that socioeconomic diversity is no replacement for a direct consideration of race, as some have suggested. Still the research finds that a mix of students from differing socio-economic backgrounds has benefits.
Family doctors are also pushing to change how the nation pays for medical education and are proposing shifting training funds away from hospitals for residencies.
