The European Association of Urology Nurses launched a new online course for urology nurses and affiliated professionals "Bone health and urological cancer". This course tackles a highly pressing issue of maintaining and promoting bone health in cancer patients.
GlobalNet Services, Inc., a premier information technology provider for businesses and the Federal government, today announced that it had been awarded a $14 million contract to support the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Unified Registration and Listing System (FURLS). This five-year contract, which includes one base year and four option years, supports federal initiatives that require all facilities, which manufacture, process or hold FDA-regulated products to be registered with the Agency.
AMD is the leading cause of vision loss in anyone over 50 and globally in 2010 it was estimated to cost $340 billion to treat AMD. The costs are set to spiral over the next 20 years and really over burden the healthcare system unless people start to take preventative action.
A number of studies have shown how playing video games can lead to structural changes in the brain, including increasing the size of some regions, or to functional changes, such as activating the areas responsible for attention or visual-spatial skills.
