A new analysis of data from more than 12,000 people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pa) lung infection in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Patient Registry shows that use of TOBI (Tobramycin Inhalation Solution, USP) was associated with a 21% reduction in mortality in the following year.
The Chinese Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Treatment and Research Group (CSTAR) announced interim epidemiological information on SLE patients in China today at EULAR 2010, the Annual Congress of the European League Against Rheumatism in Rome, Italy. Robust data on SLE patients has been scarce to date; but now CSTAR provides the first online registry of this magnitude in China. To date the registry has collated data from 2,104 SLE patients across 30 Chinese provinces.
QRxPharma Limited (ASX: QRX and OTCQX: QRXPY) announced today a contractual agreement with Patheon to manufacture clinical supplies of QRxPharma's controlled release Dual-Opioid(TM) formulation (MoxDuo(TM)CR). This is the first medication shown to reduce weight gain for up to one year in women smokers who quit.
BioAxial, a key player in live cell super resolution microscopy, today announces that it has been granted a US patent covering ‘black fluorophore', a pivotal component of ‘dark tracking' technology. This patent consolidates BioAxial's patent portfolio, which already comprises ten patent families. It also strengthens the company's position as a technology leader in the field of commercial super-resolution imaging modules.
