Polaris Group announced today that positive results from a randomized Phase 2 trial of ADI-PEG 20, arginine deiminase formulated with polyethylene glycol, for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma were presented at the World Conference on Lung Cancer in Sydney, Australia.
Urologists at Henry Ford Hospital have developed a new technique that could make minimally invasive robotic partial nephrectomy procedures the norm, rather than the exception for kidney cancer patients. The technique spares the kidney, eliminates long hospital stays and provides better outcomes by giving the surgeon more time to perform the procedure.
On March 15, DaVita, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. and a leading provider of kidney care services, was recognized with the Patient Safety Improvement Award during the Renal Physician Association's annual meeting for the company's innovative CathAway program.
