The President will sign an executive order Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in a much smaller ceremony than the one for the health care reform bill Tuesday.
With the goal of developing an accurate, powerful and fast method to automate the ana-lysis of bone strength, scientists of the ETH Zurich Departments of Mechanical and Pro-cess Engineering and Computer Science teamed up with supercomputing experts at IBM's Zurich Research Laboratory. The breakthrough method developed by the team combines density measurements with a large-scale mechanical analysis of the inner-bone microstructure.
New research suggests that comprehensive sex education might lead to less teen pregnancy, and there are no indications that it boosts the levels of sexual intercourse or sexually transmitted diseases.
Since the early days of her career as a physician assistant in family practice, Cynthia Lord, MHS, PA-C, of Cheshire, Conn. has been driven by her passion for serving patients with the greatest need for care. Now, in her position as clinical associate professor at Quinnipiac University's PA program, Lord transfers her empathy for patients and her love of serving others in need to the next generation of PAs.
New data from the international FIELD Study Repeat presented today at the 15th World Congress of Cancers of the Skin (WCCS) in Edinburgh, Scotland, demonstrate initial treatment with Picato® (ingenol mebutate gel) 0.015% is efficacious in treating actinic keratoses (AK) and, when followed by a repeat cycle for persistent and newly emerging AKs, this efficacy is further increased.1 The data also confirm two treatment cycles of Picato® are well tolerated by patients.2
