The Board of Directors of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company today declared a quarterly dividend of thirty-two cents ($0.32) per share on the $.10 par value Common Stock of the corporation. The quarterly dividend will be payable on May 3, 2010 to stockholders of record at the close of business on April 4, 2010.
Mayo Clinic researchers have developed an animal model that can test the function of two prominent tumor suppressor genes, p16 and p19, in the aging process. Scientists knew that both these genes were expressed at increased levels as humans and mice age, but their role in the aging process was not clear. Findings by the Mayo team show that p16 provides gas to accelerate cellular aging, while p19 stops that process.
Assisted living communities can improve the quality of life for residents with dementia by approaching them as individuals and attempting to include all residents in activities, according to a study led by a Georgia State University gerontology researcher.
