Researchers have found an unexpected synergy between a T-cell stimulatory protein - the ICOS ligand - and interleukin-10, an immunoregulatory cytokine, to prevent inflammatory bowel disease in mice.
The WHO on Wednesday "released new guidelines providing technical recommendations on effective interventions for the prevention and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among sex workers and their clients," New Europe Online reports.
