The following is a statement by Gail Lenehan, EdD, MSN, RN FAEN, FAAN, President of the Emergency Nurses Association, on the National Institutes of Health's New Office of Emergency Care Research: "As the national organization representing more than 40,000 emergency nurses, the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) applauds the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for establishing the new Office of Emergency Care Research (OECR).
Astronics Corporation, a leading provider of advanced technologies for the global aerospace and defense industries, today announced that it has acquired privately-held Max-Viz, Inc., a market-leading developer and designer of Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) for fixed and rotary wing aircraft through both OEM and aftermarket channels in the general aviation, commercial and military aerospace markets for $10 million in cash.
At least 58 U.S. abortion clinics - almost 1 in 10 - have shut or stopped providing the procedure since 2011 as access vanishes faster than ever amid a Republican-led push to legislate the industry out of existence.
