McMaster University researchers have found a new way to treat the world's worst infectious diseases, the superbugs that are resistant to all known antibiotics.
Memory problems are the most frequent complaints in epilepsy patients, and with 3 million people in the US suffering from epilepsy, this condition needs to be addressed. In response, the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group (NEREG) is introducing new locations to the only existing memory treatment program on January 24 in Staten Island and on January 26 in Middletown, NY.
The Illinois chapters of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL), and Northwestern Medicine- have come together to offer selected hospitals across Illinois the opportunity to join the Illinois Surgical Quality Improvement Collaborative (ISQIC), a three-year effort to improve the safety and quality of surgical care in Illinois.
Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, announces the addition of over 1,700 new chiral HPLC/SFC applications to its online resource, including more than 400 new SFC (supercritical fluid chromatography) methods. Phenomenex's extensive chiral application database is unique in the industry, particularly with the addition of the SFC methods, which were developed in collaboration with the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium.
