A report on the value of the Internet search tool for emergency departments, studied by a team of researchers at Johns Hopkins Medicine over a 21-month period, is published in the January 9 issue of Clinical Infectious Diseases.

New research has found that in cases of lung edema, or fluid in the lungs, not only do the lungs fail to keep water out as previously believed, but they are also allowing water to pump in.
Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc., announced today that patient enrollment has begun for a new Phase 3b study of tolvaptan for adult patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), the most common, life-threatening, inherited genetic kidney disorder.
