Array BioPharma Inc. today announced that it will present data from a Phase 1 trial of KSP inhibitor ARRY-520 in patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
Guinea pigs and mice can be replaced with a non-animal skin sensitization method that uses a human-derived skin model, according to a study presented today by the PETA International Science Consortium, Ltd., at the Society of Toxicology's annual meeting.
Glutamine could help people with obesity reduce inflammation of fat tissue and reduce fat mass, according to a new study at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the University of Oxford in the U.K. The researchers also show how glutamine levels can alter gene expression in several different cell types.
Johns Hopkins scientists say that a newly discovered "survival protein" protects the brain against the effects of stroke in rodent brain tissue by interfering with a particular kind of cell death that's also implicated in complications from diabetes and heart attack.
