According to a new study, published in the November issue of Diabetes Care , a majority of diabetics avoid physical activity because they worry about exercise-induced hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and severe consequences including loss of consciousness.
Air Techniques, Inc., a leading dental equipment manufacturer, announced today that its STS-6 Dual Stage Dry Vacuum System was named an "Editor's Choice" by The Dental Advisor. The highly regarded science-based publication gave the STS-6 system the maximum possible overall rating of 5 stars as well as a 98% clinical rating.
Research led by Johns Hopkins Children's Center scientists has figured out why a respiratory syncytial virus vaccine used in 1966 to inoculate children against the infection instead caused severe respiratory disease and effectively stopped efforts to make a better one.
Experience of parents with their children and teachers with their students demonstrate how kids change their behaviours and knowledge from infancy to adolescence. Until now, little was known of the causes that could lead to these changes.
A Japanese single-institution study suggests that axitinib may be a feasible first-line option for patients with locally advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
