A new study conducted by scientists at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute could help researchers develop new treatments for a variety of health conditions that are all related to abnormal iron metabolism. More than one million Americans have abnormal iron levels in their bodies.
To date, there have been relatively few cases of neonates with COVID-19, and there is limited knowledge of neonatal severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. However, recent studies have suggested an increased risk of severe COVID-19 in infants compared to older children, which is based on data that shows an increased rate of hospitalization among infants.
The Cardiovascular Research Foundation has announced the late breaking trials and first report investigations that will be presented at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2011 scientific symposium.
