Seniors at Springhill retirement community have found a secret to staying young and active—HealthAbility. Springhill resident Joe Bertoncini, 88, has always been active, with 64 Senior Olympic medals over the past 14 years. He says the HealthAbility program has helped him to build on those healthy results.
New research into "health care deserts" finds that primary-care physicians are especially hard to find in predominantly Black and/or low-income Hispanic metropolitan neighborhoods.
Two studies have independently identified quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen as a marker to identify pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B virus infection whose infants are at high-risk of infection despite immunoprophylaxis.
