Sotera Wireless, Inc. today announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared the Company's patented continuous non-invasive blood pressure technology, a new feature of the ViSi Mobile wireless patient monitoring system. For the first time clinicians can continuously monitor all patient vital signs, including beat-to-beat blood pressure, without the use of a catheter or blood pressure cuff.
IntriCon Corporation, a designer, developer, manufacturer and distributor of body-worn medical and electronics devices, announced today that it will unveil a prototype of its new Cardiac Diagnostic Monitoring (CDM) device, called the Mobile Patient ECG Telemetry System, or MPETS, at the 2009 American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions, Nov. 15-17, in Orlando, Fla.
"This discovery reverses food allergies in mice, and we have many people with allergies volunteering their own cells for us to use in lab testing to move this research forward," said professor John Gordon, lead scientist behind the discovery just published in the current issue of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Three studies published in Neurology add weight to the theory that vitamin D levels have an important effect on relapse rates and cerebral lesions in patients with multiple sclerosis.
A survey is being launched today [Friday 14 October 2016] to help understand the psychological impact on surgeons of errors or complications which arise as a result of surgical procedures.
