Researchers at the University of Michigan Health Rogel Cancer Center have identified a drug that, when given along with a bone marrow transplant, drops the risk of leukemia recurring by 20% among the high-risk patients.
Volume 11, Issue 23 of @Oncotarget reported that the authors have previously established that mi R-151a functions as an onco-mi R in non-small cell lung cancer cells by inducing partial EMT and enhancing tumor growth.
Intrinsic Bioprobes today announced the exclusive licensing of two novel biomarkers for diabetes to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. (Raritan, NJ). The biomarkers are modified forms of blood-circulating proteins and have been linked with the presence of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. The financial terms of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.
