Relypsa, Inc. today announced the start of dosing in a Phase 2b clinical trial of RLY5016 for the treatment of hyperkalemia in patients with diabetic nephropathy and chronic kidney disease (CKD). The breast itself doesn't contain any muscles and the only 2 supporting structures are the skin and the Cooper's ligaments. Both of those structures are quite weak mechanically so they're not able to hold the breast in place firmly.
Information gleaned from a liquid biopsy may help predict how individual women with advanced breast cancer will respond to certain therapies as well as reveal genetic mutations that can impact prognosis, according to two new studies led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Physician-in-Chief José Baselga and physician-scientist Sarat Chandarlapaty.
A mineral found at health food stores could be the key to developing a new line of antibiotics for bacteria that commonly cause diarrhea, tooth decay and, in some severe cases, death.
Marcos Frank, PhD, associate professor of Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, will present information on early brain development and the importance of sleep during early life when the brain is rapidly maturing and highly changeable.
