Delcath Systems, Inc. announced today that it has executed a multi-year supply agreement with Synerx Pharma, LLC and Bioniche Teoranta, an affiliate of Mylan, Inc., for the supply of Delcath's branded melphalan hydrochloride for injection ("melphalan"). Melphalan is the chemotherapeutic drug used with Delcath's Chemosaturation system in its Phase III clinical study for the treatment of patients with hepatic metastases from ocular or cutaneous melanoma.

NPR's "Shots" blog examines the "test and treat" approach to HIV care and prevention, which "relies on the fact that taking HIV drugs dramatically reduces a person's risk of transmitting the virus to others," and, "[a]s more and more people are put on medication, the epidemic theoretically should fizzle out." The blog continues, "Test and treat sounds good on paper, but some doctors and policymakers have doubts about its feasibility on a large scale."

According to new research from the Universit- de Montr-al, meditators do feel pain but they simply don't dwell on it as much. These findings, published in the month's issue of Pain, may have implications for chronic pain sufferers, such as those with arthritis, back pain or cancer.
