SuperGen has announced the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 7,037,900 B2 entitled, "Composition and Method for Treating Graft-versus-Host Disease."
At the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Marshals seized articles of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drug products from Tri-Med Laboratories Inc. in Somerset, N.J. earlier this month. The seizure warrant, issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and unsealed this week, shows the drugs are unapproved and adulterated new drugs.
A new educational initiative by NPS MedicineWise and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) aims to improve both the quality and quantity of adverse event reporting relating to medicines, vaccines and medical devices to the TGA.
A new study has found that the hormone leptin plays a key role in women's reproductive and neuroendocrine health and suggests a future for the hormone in treating a number of conditions including exercise-induced bone loss, anorexia and in some cases of infertility.
