The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN), the first national advocacy organization dedicated to improving public awareness of bladder cancer, applauds U.S. Representative Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) for introducing a resolution to recognize July 17, 2010 as "National Bladder Cancer Awareness Day."
American researchers have discovered the process by which the cells in the gut fight off toxins produced by a hospital bug - Clostridium difficile. Writing in Nature Medicine, they showed how a chemical - GSNO - deactivated a toxin from Clostridium difficile which causes inflammation and diarrhea. They hope to use their findings to develop a treatment for C. difficile.
China Medicine Corporation, primarily a manufacturer, leading distributor and developer of Western pharmaceuticals, traditional Chinese medicines, and other nutraceuticals, today announced its fourth quarter and full year 2009 results.
ADVENTRX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that it met with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to review development plans for ANX-188 (purified poloxamer 188), the Company's first-in-class treatment for sickle cell patients experiencing vaso-occlusive crisis.
We meet a multitude of people on a daily basis: the nice waitress in the coffee shop around the corner, the bus driver or the colleagues at the office.
