Evotec AG today announced that it has entered into a license and collaboration agreement with Zhejiang Jingxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd for EVT 201, a novel potential treatment for insomnia. The agreement grants Jingxin Pharma exclusive rights to develop and market the drug candidate in China. In return, Evotec will receive a small upfront payment, together with commercial milestones and significant royalties.
In a federally funded, randomized phase III clinical trial performed by the Children's Oncology Group (COG), 90% of children and young adults with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) or T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LL) were alive four years after starting treatment regimens on this trial, and 84% were cancer free.

The groundbreaking results were presented at the 2011 Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons.
