These grants were awarded based on applications CorMedix submitted for both its Neutrolin® and Deferiprone programs.
General anesthesia is made up of three components: hypnotic medicines, to induce sleep; analgesics, or medicines to inhibit pain; and NMB agents that induce muscle relaxation. Anesthesiology professionals use NMB to relax a patient's muscles and prevent involuntary movement that could impact surgery.
A survey of nurses anaesthetists in Sweden identified difficulties in preparing children for surgery but also found that when the hospital and the staff were flexible in their approaches, the children's anxiety could be reduced. These approaches included varying the operation schedule, provided it do not create risk to the child, and pre-surgical visits with operating staff.
TomoTherapy Incorporated announced today that Moses Cone Health System has installed North Carolina's first TomoTherapy® cancer treatment system at the Moses Cone Regional Cancer Center in Greensboro, N.C.
