Scientists have found that Pycnogenol, a natural plant extract from the bark of pine trees, can reduce jetlag symptoms by half. Pycnogenol is the patented trade name for a water extract of the bark of the French maritime pine (Pinus pinaster ssp. atlantica), which is grown in coastal southwest France.
Significantly more pre-menopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) reported a clinically meaningful improvement in their condition with flibanserin 100mg compared with placebo, according to new research announced today. Flibanserin is an investigational, non-hormonal treatment being developed by Boehringer Ingelheim for pre-menopausal women with HSDD.
Smoking prevalence has stayed the same but the proportion with no intention of quitting has risen in the last seven years, according to results from the latest EUROASPIRE surveys presented for the first time today at ESC Congress 2015 by Professor Kornelia Kotseva, chair of the EUROASPIRE Steering Committee and senior clinical research fellow at Imperial College London, UK.
