Researchers at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center have developed and tested a vaccine that triggered the growth of immune cell nodules within pancreatic tumors, essentially reprogramming these intractable cancers and potentially making them vulnerable to immune-based therapies.
Biocept, Inc., a privately-held laboratory testing company focused on the detection, enumeration and analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in cancer patients, today announced the publication of a paper describing the identification of different CTC phenotypes using its proprietary Cell Enrichment and Extraction platform.
The passage of smoking bans in two large Minnesota cities was not associated with job losses at bars and may in fact have contributed to higher employment in restaurants, according to new research.
