A new study involving researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and other institutions says patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes should eat a diet low in carbohydrates.
Two of the world's leading universities are joining forces to combine neuroscience and engineering in order to alleviate human suffering caused by such neurological disabilities as paralysis and deafness. Scientists, engineers, and clinicians at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Ecole Polytechnique F-d-rale de Lausanne (EPFL) will collaborate on six pioneering neuroengineering projects made possible thanks to a $3.6 million grant from the Bertarelli Foundation.
The likelihood of complications associated with tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy in patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia may be reduced by considering patient factors and differences in the toxicity profiles of the different drug options, a review suggests.
BioElectronics Corp. (PINKSHEETS: BIEL), the maker of inexpensive, disposable drug-free anti-inflammatory devices, today announced it will sponsor a clinical study comparing the effects of ActiPatch® Therapy to Tylenol® for the treatment of muscle pain and soreness.
