HealthTrust, a group purchasing and total cost management solutions company representing more than 1,400 acute-care facilities, has renewed its contract with McKesson Automation, ensuring that its member hospitals and health systems have continued access to a full portfolio of central pharmacy and point-of-care pharmacy automation solutions and services.
As the nation becomes more aware of health issues related to nutrition and lifestyle choices, communities are struggling to find ways to make healthy living easier. The University of Missouri is helping communities turn healthy ideas into sustainable changes through the Healthy Lifestyle Initiative. The initiative, underway at 13 sites in 12 Missouri counties, is aimed at changing environments to increase the availability of affordable, locally produced foods and access to safe physical activities.
In the United States, both children and adults eat too few fruits and vegetables, which puts them at risk for poor diet quality and adverse health consequences.
Researchers have examined what's currently known about the neuroendocrine effects of grief and whether biological factors can predict complicated or prolonged grief after the death of a loved one. The findings appear in the journal of Neuroendocrinology
