Prosolia, Inc. and AB SCIEX announced today that they have entered into a license agreement for technologies developed by Dr. Gary Van Berkel and his colleagues of Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
It's possible that preventing people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other serious mental illnesses from getting guns might decrease the risk of mass killings. New research published Online First in The Lancet suggests that a high proportion of severe intellectual disability results from genetic causes that are not inherited. These findings are good news for parents, indicating a low risk of passing on the disorder to further children.
Researchers from Cardiff University have pioneered a new technique that will enable scientists to precisely pinpoint the areas on an enzyme that help to speed up chemical reactions.
