The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation will officially launch their "Orange 4 MSF" campaign on Monday, February 16th to promote MS awareness. Since orange is the official color of awareness, MSF would like the public to show their support by taking a selfie with an orange and then posting it on social media with #orange4msf.

An action letter is anticipated before the end of 2014. Carbella is the proposed U.S. trade name for intravenous carbamazepine.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today announced, in accordance with longstanding U.S. obligations under the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, seven metered-dose inhalers (MDI) used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) will be gradually removed from the U.S. marketplace. These inhalers contain ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), which are propellants that move medication out of the inhaler and into the lungs of patients.
The Associated Press: A new ethics code adopted by leading medical groups on Wednesday is supposed to keep the drug and medical device industry from having too much financial influence over medical practitioners. "It's the most sweeping move ever taken by the Council of Medical Specialty Societies to curb conflict of interest — a growing concern as private industry bankrolls a greater share of medical research.
