A clinical trial is underway in five U.S. cities to determine whether delivering integrated health services through mobile clinics can improve HIV and substance use outcomes among people with opioid use disorder who inject drugs.
In response to an announcement by the German State Medical Association of Rheinland-Pfalz of their initial review of more than 100 articles by Professor Joachim Boldt, Steven L. Shafer, MD, Editor-in-Chief of Anesthesia & Analgesia, has joined with ten other anesthesiology and critical care journal editors in releasing a joint statement affirming their commitment to ethical conduct of research.
Data presented today at EULAR 2013, the Annual Congress of the European League Against Rheumatism, demonstrate that indicators of depression are stronger predictors of work disability in early arthritis than disease activity or response to therapy.
In the first MRI-based study to investigate pre-natal alcohol exposure, researchers found significant changes in the brain structure of fetuses exposed to alcohol compared to healthy controls. Results of the study are being presented today at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
Researchers using a newly approved advanced computed tomography (CT) system were able to significantly reduce radiation exposure in patients undergoing coronary CT angiography (CCTA), according to a new study published online in the journal Radiology.
