According to a new study leading a healthy lifestyle can help prevent Alzheimer's disease. Researchers said at Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Paris on Tuesday that the number of Alzheimer's cases could be cut in half if people exercise, eat well and stop smoking. Other risks include depression, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. Education is also a factor, because illiteracy keeps brains from developing properly. The new findings have been published in the journal Lancet Neurology.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of advanced CT imaging in the ED, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., will highlight its Aquilion ONE CT system at the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) conference, Sept. 14-17, 2011, in Miami.
Epigenomics AG, the cancer molecular diagnostics company, today announced the results of a survey conducted at europacolon's first European CRC Patient Conference, The Power of Patient Voice 2011, showing that patients believe tests using blood samples would encourage more people to participate in regular screening for colorectal cancer.
