A University of Houston pharmaceutical scientist is developing a new drug which could bring relief to children suffering with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis, a rare genetic disorder characterized by hundreds - if not thousands - of colorectal polyps.

College of Nursing has released a reference guide to assist grievers during those first hours and days following a sudden and unexpected death.
A new study finds that hypertension following the viral infection is associated with high placental viral load in pregnant women with COVID-19.
More than three-quarters (81.8 percent) of unscheduled admissions to the hospital now come through the emergency department, which is a sharp increase from the previous decade when only 64.5 percent of unscheduled admissions came through the ER.
