Brain Tumour Research has been chosen by Plymouth University to be an official charity partner. Brain Tumour Research was launched in April 2009 to raise awareness of, and funding for, scientific research into brain tumours and improve outcomes for brain tumour patients.
OptumHealth today announced that it will offer an unlimited lifetime benefit for specific coverage as a standard provision of its excess loss insurance policy.
Jennifer Sweet, MD, a neurosurgeon at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, recently opened a clinical research study to learn if there is a structural target in the brain for patients suffering from bipolar disorder and whether deep brain stimulation (DBS) can bring them relief.
Researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), in collaboration with private industry and other government agencies, have produced a new reference material for beryllium. Beryllium, an exotic rare-earth metal used as a hardener in high-performance alloys and ceramics, can cause berylliosis-a chronic, incurable and sometimes fatal illness.
