What happens when the families of sick and dying hospitalized children ask their physicians to pray with them, or for them? How do pediatricians respond to such personal requests? While increasing numbers of physicians say that religion and spirituality help some patients and families cope with serious illness, a new study reports that it is almost always the families and patients who raise the issue of prayer, not the doctors themselves.
A year-long experiment found that the competitive bidding approach saved money without harming beneficiaries. It also made inroads against waste and fraud.
Since the Giant Salamander Museum opened to the public in 2010, it has played a significant role in the science education of Zhangjiajie local schools, and it was awarded national Science Education Base. On April 11, 2014, Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Museum welcomed more than 400 students and teachers of Zhangjiajie Daqiao Centre School.
Comprehensive Care Corporation (CompCare) today announced it will provide managed behavioral health services for Universal Health Care Group's 100,000 Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Fee-for-Service plan members in eleven states.
