Adaptive Sound Technologies, Inc. (ASTI) announced today that it will pay cash rewards to ASTI customers who refer friends that in turn buy an Ecotones or Ecotones Duet directly from ASTI. The new "Tell-a-Friend" program rewards customers for doing what they have been doing since the first Ecotones was introduced late last year: letting friends in on the secret to better sleep.
Kaiser Health News staff writer Christopher Weaver, working in collaboration with USA Today, reports: "At the Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital here, construction workers scrambled on a recent day to turn a mud pit into a parking lot and put other finishing touches on the $35 million physician-owned facility" (Weaver, 10/28).
In a study published today in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology of more than 5,000 acute coronary syndromes (ACS) patients, 71.8% were considered malnourished by at least one nutrition screening test, and worsening malnutrition status was associated with higher mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), such as another heart attack or stroke.
Individuals with chronic, moderate tinnitus do more poorly on demanding working memory and attention tests than those without tinnitus, according to research conducted at the University of Western Sydney.
