Politico reports that Speaker John Boehner has hinted that the House will not seek to end health law funding in the bill that Congress is expected to pass to keep the government running.
A new Mayo Clinic study suggests that removing the entire kidney from younger patients with small kidney tumors may lead to decreased overall survival compared with an operation that removes the tumor but leaves the kidney intact.
Extending transplant time could reduce geographical limitations on donors and recipients and allow more time for organ assessment and repair
The recent release of data by the National Oncologic PET Registry (NOPR) showing that positron emission tomography (PET) produced scans revealing disease at a molecular level, which then caused physicians to change treatment plans for more than one-third of participating patients, has corroborated decades of nuclear medicine research.
"Chin augmentation has increased approximately 70% in the last year, that's an astonishing number," says Dr. Darrick Antell, A spokesperson for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "We're much more aware of how we look and we're much more critical of ourselves," he said. He says a strong chin not only improves a patient's self esteem, it may also boost their bottom line. Experts say that may be part of the reason chin implants saw the biggest surge of any type of cosmetic procedure in the last year.
