People who have experienced childhood trauma get a more pleasurable "high" from morphine, new research suggests.
iCAD, Inc., an industry-leading provider of advanced image analysis, workflow solutions and radiation therapies for the early identification and treatment of cancer, announces its featured products at the European Society of Radiology's annual meeting being held in Vienna, Austria from March 3 - 7, 2011.
In a study published in the journal Antiviral Research, researchers from Aarhus University, Denmark, report on their tests on different polyether ionophores to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 in vitro.
MicroPhage, Inc. announced today that it has received two Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project (QTDP) grants totaling $977,916 from the IRS. The grants, awarded as part of the Affordable Care Act, apply to small-company R&D expenditures that reduce the cost and increase the quality of healthcare in the U.S. The grants will be applied to the development of MicroPhage's first product, the MRSA/MSSA Blood Culture Test, currently under review at the FDA.
Ten health care innovations, if brought to scale immediately in low-resource countries, could have the potential to save the lives of some 1.2 million mothers and children in 2015.
