Researchers at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and UCLA School of Dentistry have identified a potential new combination therapy to treat advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, the most common type of head and neck cancer.
A team of scientists from Canada, Thailand and Morocco have found that DHEA-S may prevent neurocognitive impairment that affects a significant percentage of AIDS patients. In a report appearing in the February 2013 issue of The FASEB Journal, they describe how a network of steroid molecules found in the brain, termed "neurosteroids," is disrupted during HIV infection leading to brain damage.
Roche and Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc today announced that they have formed an alliance to develop treatments for Huntington's disease based on Isis' antisense oligonucleotide technology.
In celebration of National Senior Citizens Day, this Friday, August 21(st), the National PACE Association is working with many of the individual Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) around the country to educate their surrounding communities about PACE through health fairs and open houses.
Incyte Corporation announced today that it has submitted a New Drug Application (NDA) for its lead investigational compound, ruxolitinib (INCB18424), to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
