Cynosure, Inc. today announced the presentation of a new study that demonstrates the clinical benefits of using a 1440 nm wavelength in laser-assisted lipolysis to disrupt fat tissue and tighten skin through tissue coagulation. The study, led by Barry DiBernardo, M.D., Medical Director of New Jersey Plastic Surgery, is one of six Cynosure-related abstracts being presented this week at the 2010 American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference in Arizona.

Polling conducted by Virtify, Inc. revealed that most pharmaceutical companies are concerned about their ability to comply with the requirement to submit additional pharmacovigilance data to the EMA EudraVigilance Medicinal Product Dictionary (EVMPD) in advance of the July 2, 2012 deadline.
It's been 50 years since the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a medication to treat lupus - when Dwight D. Eisenhower was President! To highlight the need for safer, more tolerable, and effective medications, the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. (LFA) today launched its new campaign, Band Together for Lupus(SM), which encourages people to wear an LFA purple wristband until there is a medication approved specifically for lupus by the FDA.
