The Autism Science Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and funding autism research, today announced the launch of the Autism Sisters Project, a new initiative that will give unaffected sisters of individuals with autism the opportunity to take an active role in accelerating research into the "Female Protective Effect."
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced today that CVS/pharmacy and Warner Home Video will partner with the Foundation this holiday season to raise critical funds for cystic fibrosis through the sale of classic family movies.
Mothers who have children diagnosed with cancer now have a better approach to address and cope with stresses associated with their child's disease. A new certified intervention has proven to be more effective long term compared to other psychological methods, as reported today at the 42nd Congress of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology.
The Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center has established an entirely paperless and filmless clinical process in radiation oncology, designed to enhance patient safety as well as operational efficiency. Using the ARIA oncology information system from Varian Medical Systems, the clinical team has automated essential tasks, built in safety-checks, and centralized patient information for easier access by staff members.
