St. Jude Medical, Inc., a global medical device company, today announced regulatory approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) of the Eon Mini™ spinal cord stimulation (SCS) system. The world's smallest, longest-lasting rechargeable neurostimulator, the Eon Mini device is the first rechargeable spinal cord stimulator to be approved for use in Japan.
An earlier indication of whether chemotherapy benefits non-small cell lung cancer patients, provided by positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, can guide doctors in offering them better care, according to researchers in the May Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced that USFDA has granted its subsidiary a tentative approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market a generic version of Forest Laboratories, Inc.'s Namenda 5 mg and 10 mg tablets.
